TuffPart steel undercarriage

TuffPart is our own range of steel undercarriage, made to OEM specification in ISO 9001-certified factories. It runs from mini excavators through to 50-tonne machines, including the 20-tonne-plus excavators working in civil construction, demolition and bulk earthworks.

With stock in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Toowoomba, Adelaide and Perth, the part you need is often already in your state.

What's in the range

• Track chains, greased and sealed from 140mm pitch, with polyurethane seals to keep grit out of the pins and bushes. Easy-fit and press-fit master pins are available.
• Track groups, the chain with the shoes already bolted on, made up to suit your machine.
• Track shoes in triple grouser, rolled boron steel, through-hardened, for standard, heavy-duty and LGP work.
• Sprockets in cast steel, with the teeth induction-hardened to over 50 RC.
• Bottom rollers in single and double flange, with forged, heat-treated roller shells.
• Top rollers in single flange, double flange and shaft type.
• Idlers as complete cast assemblies, with heavy-duty seals, shafts and brackets.
• Track adjusters as complete recoil spring assemblies.
• Track hardware, with track bolts and nuts to Grade 12.9 and sprocket and roller bolts to Grade 10.9.
• Track guides, and TerraPart final drives for the whole drive unit.

Parts that run together wear together

A worn sprocket shortens the life of a new chain, and one new bottom roller among worn ones stands proud and carries more than its share of the weight. That's why chains and sprockets usually get changed together, and bottom rollers as a set. If only one part has reached its limit, it can be changed on its own.

Warranty

Track chains carry 18 months. Track groups carry 12 months, with the chain in them covered for 18. Track shoes and TerraPart final drives carry 24 months, and rollers, idlers, sprockets, track adjusters and hardware carry 12 months.
