JCB's story

JCB was founded in 1945 by Joseph Cyril Bamford in England with their first front end loader produced in 1949 and the world’s first back-hoe produced in 1953. In England and Ireland, the term JCB is synonymous with earthmoving, and ‘JCB’ is even listed in the Oxford English Dictionary. JCB has a range of more than 300 machines, including: excavators, wheel loaders and telescopic handlers. JCB also makes tractors, backhoe loaders, compacting machines, skid-steer loaders, forklift trucks and light equipment. The company is constantly innovating.
